Job Description
We are seeking a results‑driven Procurement Specialist to join our Northern New Jersey facility. This role operates within a matrix reporting structure‑functionally aligned and reporting to the Senior Global Supply Chain Manager for global sourcing and compliance, while supporting operational day‑to‑day site needs.
Responsible for end‑to‑end supply chain activities including material coordination, supplier and inventory management, this role ensures timely material availability, regulatory compliance, and alignment with global procurement policies and procurement strategies while supporting site‑level operation priorities.
Responsibilities- Implement strategic sourcing initiatives to support organizational goals.
- Manage sourcing for raw material and services balancing cost, quality and delivery and commercial needs.
- Execute purchasing strategies in line with global and on‑site standards.
- Negotiation planning
- Resolve supply chain disruptions quickly.
- TCO modeling focused on purchase price, logistics and inventory carrying cost, quality and failure risk, EOL and obsolescence, supplier transition costs.
- Should‑cost, price/cost variance analysis, target cost and cost breakdowns for top line and or program.
- Make‑vs‑buy assessments and sourcing decisions.
- Sensitivity & scenario analysis to evaluate effect of change.
- 5+ years in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain within aerospace or a regulated industry.
- Proven track record managing complex commercial and defense contracts.
- Hands‑on experience with supplier qualification, ASL/AVL management, and compliance audits.
- Demonstrated success in cost reduction initiatives and supplier performance improvement.
- Experience supporting ERP implementation or working in ERP environments (Epicor Kinetic preferred).
- Proficient in the full Microsoft Office Suite, including advanced Excel functions (pivot tables, VLOOKUP) work and PowerPoint. Experience in Microsoft Power BI desired.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or Engineering is preferred; however, candidate with relevant work experience will also be considered.
