The Manager, Building Security is responsible for leading and executing all security operations at UBS Arena, ensuring a safe and efficient environment for events and daily operations. This role oversees security staffing, recruitment, training, and performance management while ensuring compliance with policies, procedures, and safety standards. The Manager, Building Security manages day‑to‑day security operations, including CCTV, access control, and incident reporting, and develops policies with a continuous improvement mindset.

Working closely with the Director of Security, Event Services, and Engineering & Maintenance teams, this position supports event planning, fire and life safety procedures, and operational readiness. The Security Manager builds strong internal and external partnerships, adapts operations in response to critical events, and ensures security operations meet efficiency, safety, and customer service expectations.

This role pays an annual salary of $75,000-$85,000

UBS Arena at Belmont Park is made for music and built for hockey. New York's newest premier entertainment and sports venue and home of the New York Islanders is developed in partnership with Oak View Group, the New York Islanders, and Jeff Wilpon. The state‑of‑the‑art arena opened in November 2021 and has welcomed numerous top artists including Harry Styles, Sebastian Maniscalco, Billie Eilish, Dua Lipa, TWICE, Eagles, John Mayer, Kendrick Lamar and Post Malone.

• Play a key role in the preparation and planning for all events at UBS Arena.
• Develop goals and objectives for the Building Security function ensuring that key objectives are met.
• Oversee a team of security supervisors and officers with a focus on management and effective allocation of staff assignments.
• Responsible for interviewing and selection of all full time and temporary staff ensuring that quality resources are employed.
• Effectively train, coach, develop, and retain talent, understanding their needs and helping them meet professional goals.
• Ensure security staff is knowledgeable of post orders, security procedures and guidelines.
• Build collaborative relationships with key contacts internally and externally to ensure smooth and effective day‑to‑day operations and maintain strong department, company and community relationships and reputation.
• Oversee arena CCTV and Access Control daily management, including video investigations.
• Ensure day‑to‑day operational activities are managed effectively and meet efficiency and customer satisfaction standards.
• Develop and implement policies and procedures with continuous improvement mindset.
• Prepare required daily and periodic reports regarding operational and day to day activities.
• Ensure proper documentation and follow up of all incident reporting.
• Must stay informed of critical events and be able to adjust operating procedures accordingly.
• Ensure employees adhere to safety and health policies and procedures to protect employees against workplace hazards.
• Assist the Engineering & Maintenance Department with Fire & Life Safety procedures.
• Assist the Director of Security with the day‑to‑day safety and security operations of the arena, including planning, staffing, budgeting and execution.
