Medical Delivery Driver - Elmhurst, IL

Position Summary

Medical Driver – Elmhurst – $17.25 hourly – Full Time (Monday - Friday).

Monday - Friday 11:00 am – 7:30 pm ($1.00 hourly increase for hours worked after 10 pm).

• Spend most of the day in a company‑owned vehicle, safely driving and transporting lab specimens, medical records, pharmaceuticals, x‑rays, hospital supplies, inter‑office mail, and related materials.
• Operate a handheld scanning device to accurately track items through the transportation cycle.
• Strictly observe operating policies, procedures, and service schedules.
• Present a professional image to clients and the public through appearance and interaction.
• Load and unload company vehicles with appropriate equipment.
• Demonstrate safe and courteous driving behavior.
• Conduct pre/post‑trip vehicle inspections and maintain a clean, neat and orderly vehicle.
• Adapt to route duties that vary based on client and business needs; perform all duties across your assigned routes.
• Demonstrate teamwork, cooperation, and adaptability with teammates and clients.
• Build and nurture a collaborative Med Speed team culture.

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
• 19 years of age with an active driver’s license for at least 3 years.
• Demonstrated dependability and reliability.
• Familiarity with and adaptability to technology.
• Demonstrated ability to follow procedures closely.
• Ability to determine efficient routing between multiple points.
• Ability to pass initial and random drug & alcohol screening.
• Drive a non‑commercial vehicle throughout the shift on various roads and in varying weather conditions.
• Excellent driving history.
• Proof of COVID‑19 vaccination per location and local mandates.
• Ability to regularly lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable walking long distances and standing for prolonged periods.
• Ability to lift items off storage racks and handle varying item weights and physical demands.
