Dimensional Metrology and Calibration Technician Aerospace

Own the details that keep aircraft components airworthy. As a Dimensional Metrology and Calibration Technician, you will champion inspections, measurement science, and system rigor to ensure every aerospace and machined metal part meets exacting customer, company, and industry criteria.

• Execute first article, in-process, and final inspections to release parts with confidence
• Program and run manual and CNC CMMs leveraging PC-DMIS or MODUS on Hexagon equipment
• Perform Magnetic Particle Inspection and confirm NDT compliance
• Evaluate supplier and vendor parts and reject non-conforming materials with thorough documentation
• Apply micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, and dial indicators to verify tight tolerances
• Interpret blueprints, customer specifications, and GD&T to guide measurement plans
• Maintain and improve calibration systems while supporting internal audits
• Assist with PPAP and ISIR deliverables and conduct process capability studies
• Train and mentor production teams, complete quality forms, and drive quality system improvements

• 2–4 years of manufacturing quality assurance experience
• CMM inspection and programming proficiency; PC-DMIS or MODUS preferred
• Micro-Vu experience is a plus
• Background in aerospace and or metal manufacturing preferred
• Strong foundation in basic math and geometry
• Proficient with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook
• Bevel gear manufacturing experience is a plus

• Quality inspection and quality control
• Data analysis and manipulation plus quality control data analysis
• Tolerance analysis and field measurements
• GD&T mastery
• ITAR compliance familiarity
• PPAP process experience

• Coordinate Measuring Machine manual and CNC, including Hexagon
• Measurement gauges, calipers, micrometers
