Staff Accountant

Description

We are looking for a meticulous and motivated Staff Accountant to join our dynamic team in Elmhurst, Illinois. This Contract position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to essential financial operations within the healthcare industry. The role involves managing key accounting processes, including reconciliations, journal entries, and audit preparation, while maintaining compliance with accounting standards.

Responsibilities:

- Record and review journal entries to ensure accurate and complete financial data.

- Conduct month-end closing procedures, including account reconciliation and preparation of schedules.

- Perform bank and credit card reconciliations to verify balances and address discrepancies.

- Assist in preparing for audits by organizing documentation and providing analyses as needed.

- Support lease accounting and fixed asset management processes.

- Utilize Net Suite software for accounting entries, reconciliations, and generating reports.

- Maintain financial records in compliance with company policies and industry standards.

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and gather necessary information.

- Contribute to general accounting projects and initiatives.

- Ensure timely and accurate completion of all assigned accounting tasks.

The hourly pay range for this position is $30 to $36.05/hour. Benefits available to contract/temporary professionals, include medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance. Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

- Demonstrated experience as a staff accountant, with expertise in journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end processes.

- Knowledge of audit preparation and documentation requirements.

- Familiarity with lease accounting and fixed asset management is highly preferred.

- Proficiency in Net Suite software is a strong advantage.

- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to multitask effectively and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

- Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
