Respire Homecare Services/Life Tech is seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Senior Accountant to support month-end close, financial reporting, and compliance activities. This role is responsible for preparing financial statements, maintaining GAAP compliance, supporting audits, and proactively identifying discrepancies or process improvements. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment and has strong healthcare accounting knowledge.

• Support month-end close by preparing journal entries, reconciling balance sheet accounts, and performing financial analysis.
• Prepare and review consolidated financial statements and support reporting for portfolio companies.
• Ensure compliance with U.S. GAAP and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Manage operating and capital lease accounting.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and implement approved changes.
• Assist in developing and maintaining accounting policies and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Maintain audit documentation and support external auditors during year-end audits.
• Prepare and research state and local tax compliance, business registrations, and other regulatory filings.
• Proactively identify compliance risks and implement solutions to reduce non-compliance.
• Assist with financial system integration related to future acquisitions.
• Perform other accounting duties as assigned.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required

• Minimum of 2 years of accounting experience
• Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and financial reporting
• Healthcare accounting experience, including revenue recognition, strongly preferred
• Experience with Net Suite preferred
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
• High attention to detail and accuracy
