As a Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients during one of the most important moments of their lives. You will work under the supervision of a Physician, managing, organizing, and administering nursing care for patients of all ages. Your expertise will ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as facility policies.

• Assess patient data regarding physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs for patients of all ages.
• Report and document all observed symptoms, reactions, and changes in patient conditions.
• Utilize the nursing process to direct and deliver patient care, developing and evaluating formal care plans.
• Administer medications using the "Five Rights of Medication Administration".
• Provide educational information to patients and families appropriate for age and learning abilities.
• Create and maintain a comfortable and safe environment for patients, families, and visitors.
• Organize and prioritize daily assignments to provide optimal patient care.
• Demonstrate competency annually in assigned areas of work.
• Maintain patient and employee confidentiality at all times.
• Comply with the facility's Code of Conduct.
• For Charge Nurse roles:
  Assign staff, coach problem-solving behaviors, and lead performance improvement teams.
• Respond immediately to life-threatening patient situations by initiating emergency procedures.
• Maintain good rapport and cooperative working relationships with physicians, departments, and staff.
