We’re seeking a dynamic Plant Manager to lead manufacturing operations at a high‑performing flexographic printing facility. In this role, you’ll drive production, maintenance, scheduling, and warehouse operations while partnering cross‑functionally with Quality, Prepress, Customer Relations, and Supply దీన. Essential Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure quality product is produced in a safe, consistent, and timely way to exceed customer expectations.
- Lead the management team on the creation, implementation and ongoing monitoring of manufacturing plans, goals, and continuous improvement projects.
- Create and implement training and develop initiatives for direct reports.
- Manage and develop direct reports to include performance management metrics and disciplinary actionൂട. Coach and develop direct reports to ensure the team has the depth to take on additional responsibility as the business grows.
- Retrieve and compile data regularly on the facility’s performance. Analyze the data and use it to direct and inform continuous improvement projects.
- Communicate data, findings, and initiatives of the company in regularly scheduled plant meetings.
- Lead the development of annual capital plans along with supplying proper justification or ROI for the facility.
- Work with Director of Quality, Director of Customer Relations, Director of Supply Chain, and Director of Prepress to have indirect oversight of the Customer Relations, Prepress, Quality and Purchasing departments.
- Utilize the company’s ERP system to extract and analyze relevant data to drive improvement of operational metrics. Ensure that the scheduling team maximizes the capabilities of the ERP system for efficient scheduling of production equipment at the site.
- Provide management team information by compiling, sorting and analyzing production and performance data.
- Incorporate lean principles to evaluate, implement, and continuously improve production processes and procedures. This entails a specific focus on key metrics, including material waste, setup time, equipment speeds, labor variance, material variance, quality metrics, and on‑time delivery.
- Manage capital projects, including but not limited to, equipment installs and relocations on an ongoing, as needed basis.
- Develop and manage budgeting and budget execution with a focus on product costs and margins. This includes determining and achieving year‑over‑year reductions in spending categories that the Plant Manager is directly responsible for.
- Analyze profitability by account and product line, make recommendations for improvements and implement said recommendations.
- Ensure that, as the company grows, manufacturing capabilities meet or exceed all industry and customer requirements for cost, quality, productivity, efficiency and responsiveness.
- Participate in cross‑plant initiatives to ensure transfer of best practices videogame all sites.
- Play an active role in senior‑level negotiations with vendors, as appropriate.
- Evaluate and develop new techniques and equipment.
- Foster an open‑door environment and solutions‑based team approach within and between all departments and shifts.
- Additional duties as required.
- College Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or related discipline preferred.
- At least 协议years experience in a mid‑ or large‑size flexographic print manufacturer is required.
- At least 5 of those years should be in a management position within the company.
- Proven record of leading manufacturing teams to meet or Mixing company goals.
- Lean / Six Sigma experience is preferred.
