We help our customers to utilize the potential of industrial robotics to improve throughput, product quality, and manufacturing flexibility in the metal fabrication industry. We integrate the latest sensor technologies and process heuristics to easily generate production quality robot programs. A robotic welding cell can generally achieve three-times the throughput of a good manual welder.

The U.S. welding industry has a massive labor shortage, an aging skilled workforce, and demand that keeps climbing. Research projects a 400,000-welder shortage in 2025 and beyond. We built a solution to boost productivity and soften the blow of this predicted skilled labor shortage.

Our intuitive programming platform provides an easier-to-learn programming interface that requires no CAD or robot code for programming. We allow a human welder to teach a task to the robot in the same way he would teach another person — just by pointing to where the weld should be applied and letting the robot learn the path on its own.

We are looking to hire a motivated engineer with demonstrated experience building machine vision solutions. In this position you will develop, improve, and expand the Scalable Robotics software for vision applications, while working with other specialists who have a wide range of experiences and competencies, including manufacturing, mechanics, user-interface design, vision, and machine learning.

• Create, review, and improve vision algorithms for point clouds
• Utilize the latest techniques to manipulate point clouds and other 3D data
• Integrate advanced vision components for robotic applications
• Real-time implementation of machine vision algorithms
• Test and verification of system performance
• Improvement of existing algorithms to enhance their performance
• Codebase maintenance
• Use knowledge in design techniques, tools, and principles to write technical reports and take part in the preparation of manuals for the products being developed

• PhD degree in computer science, electrical engineering or related areas, or a master's degree with 2 years of related experience
• Strong background in 3D vision
• Strong background in machine learning
• Advanced mathematical background
• Proficiency in implementing algorithms
• Strong programming skills in C/C++/C#/GPUs
• Experience with Linux, ROS, PCL, OpenCV, or sensor fusion
• Experience in robotics
• Preferably, experience with Agile methodologies and Dev Ops
• Effective speaking, presenting and written communication skills
