Position Summary/Class Description
Looking for a fun, active, outdoor job this summer? Camp directors perform instruction, coordination and supervision of duties in the field in highly specialized skill areas for adventure and outdoor camps. Camp directors are selected for their talent, skills, and experience working with children in adventure/outdoor activities. Experience in archery, canoeing, kayaking, hiking, camping, fishing, biking, rock climbing (indoors and outdoors), nature and/or other outdoor adventure pursuits highly preferred.
Applicants must be at least 21 years of age. Salaries vary based on position and qualifications. The camp season runs from early June through late August. Mandatory staff training is conducted the week of June 15-19, 2026.
Rate of Pay
Salary commensurate with experience and certification(s).
Pay Levels
Contingent:
Level I - $18.00-$20.00 (Paraprofessional)
Level II - $20.00-$22.00 (Paraprofessional)
Level III - $23.00 - $32.00 (Professional)
- Level I - Includes experience and specialized education and training or certification in skill area.
- Level II - Includes two (2) years of professional experience and specialized education and training in specialized field or college graduate with two years of experience.
- Level III - Includes five (5) years of professional experience and specialized education and training in specialized field or college graduate with three years of experience.
