Join Our Team at Lutheran Village at Miller's Grant! We’re currently seeking a dedicated Full-Time Safety Supervisor to become part of our caring and mission-driven community. This position will be 8:00am-4:00pm, Monday-Friday with on call status. The Safety Supervisor is responsible for overseeing compliance with community safety policies and protocols, leading emergency response drills in accordance with LSMMD safety guidelines, conducting thorough investigations and documentation, and supervising Community Safety Associates.

What You’ll Do as a Safety Supervisor at LVMG- Supervise, monitor, and guide Facility Safety Associates, ensuring professional interactions with residents, visitors, vendors, and team members.
- Provide training to staff on safety protocols and customer service standards.
- Monitor and maintain safety systems; troubleshoot issues and coordinate with vendors as needed to ensure proper operation.
- Ensure team compliance with company policies and procedures; provide coaching and corrective guidance when necessary.
- Maintain accurate daily records and generate reports related to incidents, accidents, and safety breaches.
- Conduct routine patrols and spot checks throughout the facility, including public areas, activity rooms, and outdoor spaces, to evaluate staff performance and identify safety concerns.
- Lead emergency response drills in alignment with the community safety policies and protocols.
- Investigate incidents and accidents; conduct interviews and complete documentation in accordance with company policy.
- Act as a liaison with law enforcement and public safety agencies; coordinate with authorities during investigations as needed.
- Perform daily inspections to identify and report physical hazards or safety risks to the appropriate departments.
- Monitor surveillance cameras and alarm systems to detect unauthorized activity or equipment malfunctions.
- Conduct regular risk assessments and implement preventative measures to reduce safety incidents.
- Coordinate and deliver ongoing training for Community Safety Associates.
- Participate in required in-service training programs.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.

What You'll Need as a Safety Supervisor:
Education | Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a related role or field.
- Working knowledge of safety systems, including CCTV and alarm systems.
- Current CPR and First Aid certification required.
Skills And Abilities
- Demonstrated discretion, professionalism, and sound judgment in handling sensitive and confidential matters.
- Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively and tactfully with individuals at all levels, including residents, staff, families, external vendors/authorities, and the public.
- Strong attention to detail in writing, proofreading, managing priorities, and meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment, demonstrating a cooperative, respectful, and compassionate approach to colleagues and resident care.
- Skilled in the use of standard office equipment and technology.
- Maintains professionalism, composure, and a positive attitude when managing challenging situations.
