The Part-Time Senior Human Resources Manager will oversee and execute day-to-day HR operations, with deep ownership of payroll administration, HR systems (ADP), compliance, and employee lifecycle management. This is a mid-to-senior level role requiring both strategic judgment and strong execution skills in a lean environment.
Key Responsibilities Payroll & HR Systems- Own end-to-end payroll processing using ADP, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance
- Serve as primary administrator for ADP Workforce Now (or equivalent ADP platforms)
- Manage payroll audits, reconciliations, tax filings coordination, and issue resolution
- Maintain employee data integrity across HRIS and payroll systems
- Manage full employee lifecycle: onboarding, offboarding, job changes, and recordkeeping
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations
- Develop, implement, and maintain HR policies, procedures, and employee handbook
- Advise leadership on HR best practices, employee relations, and performance management
- Act as point of contact for employee HR inquiries and escalations
- Ensure compliance with wage and hour laws, benefits regulations, and employment standards
- Support audits, internal reviews, and documentation requests
- Maintain strict confidentiality of employee and company information
- Partner with leadership on workforce planning and organizational needs
- Provide guidance on employee relations matters, corrective actions, and terminations
- Recommend process improvements for HR efficiency and scalability
- 5+ years of progressive experience in Human Resources
- Extensive hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems
- Demonstrated expertise in U.S. payroll processing and employment law
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accountability
- Ability to work independently and manage priorities in a part-time role
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- SHRM-CP (Society for Human Resource Management – Certified Professional) or SHRM-SCP (Senior Certified Professional)
- PHR (Professional in Human Resources) or SPHR (Senior Professional in Human Resources)
- CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) a plus
- U.S. citizenship may be required if mandated by applicable law, regulation, or government contract
