Position Summary
The Independent Optometrist leases space within Walmart stores in Ellicott City, MD, and leads patient care for eye and vision services.
What You'll Do- Launch and operate your practice within Walmart stores.
- Provide comprehensive eye and vision care, including general health and well‑being support.
- Establish your days of practice.
- Set your hours of operation.
- Manage your patient schedule.

- Retain 100% of exam and professional fees.
- Equipment and instrumentation.
- Administrative or opt‑tech support services (subject to state regulations).
- Doctor of Optometry (OD) from an accredited optometry school.
- Valid state optometry license.
- Ophthalmologist (MD or DO) from an accredited school.
- Valid state ophthalmology license.
- General Liability Certificate.
- Professional Liability Insurance Certificate.
- W-9 form.
