OverviewThis is an exciting opportunity to work within one of the Cheshire Mental Health Support Team's (MHST) based in Cheshire West. We have one post available within the Cheshire West team.
Job TitleBand 5 Education Mental Health Practitioner / CYPWP – part time 22.5 hours per week.
Responsibilities- Work directly with schools, colleges and settings providing information, advice and guidance through consultation, training and direct work with children and young people and their parents/caregivers.
- Deliver evidence‑based interventions, including Low Intensity CBT based interventions for children, young people and parents/carers, in both 1:1 and group formats.
- Provide a range of assessment and other interventions on an individual and wider systems basis under close clinical supervision from experienced staff.
- Access regular case management and clinical supervision on an individual and group basis.
- Participate in the P2C induction programme which offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction / initial training requirements of the role.
- Professional registration with a recognised National Body (BPS, BABCP) or be able to obtain this within 6 months of start date.
- If the successful applicant does not hold professional registration they will be recruited to a 6‑month fixed‑term contract to allow time for registration to be completed, after which the contract will be amended to permanent.
- Current Band 4 trainee EMHP/CYWP's who are due to qualify in September 2025 will be considered.
- Demonstrable ability to work within a multidisciplinary team and deliver training and consultation to education professionals.
- Strong organisational and time‑management skills to balance caseloads and supervision requirements.
Part‑time 22.5 hours per week.
