Estimator role offering long-term security, varied projects and a supportive in-house commercial team within a well-established civil engineering and building contractor.

Up Front Recruitment is recruiting an Estimator to join a long-standing contractor delivering industrial, commercial and residential projects across the North West and wider UK.

This is an office-based Estimator position in Cheshire, suited to someone who enjoys producing accurate, competitive tenders and working closely with delivery teams on technically diverse projects.

• Preparing estimates for civil engineering and building projects
• Reviewing drawings, specifications and tender documentation
• Producing take-offs and detailed cost plans
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors for pricing
• Evaluating subcontractor quotations and value engineering options
• Attending pre-tender and internal review meetings
• Working closely with project and commercial teams
• Supporting bid submissions and tender clarifications
• Maintaining accurate estimating records and databases

• Experience as an Estimator within civil engineering or building
• Comfortable pricing concrete, drainage, infrastructure and building works
• Strong attention to detail and commercial awareness
• Confident communicator with good organisational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and estimating software
• Relevant construction or commercial qualification preferred
