Electrically biased Maintenance Engineer

Ready to demonstrate your expertise in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering in a clean, state‑of‑the‑art FMCG manufacturing environment? You will be fully utilised in this role, reducing downtime, improving repair times, and enhancing overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
About the roleSustaining and improving equipment reliability and efficiency, you'll help create innovative maintenance systems, support the development of performance measures, and yearly maintenance plans.
Shift pattern- 2 days from 6 am to 6 pm
- 2 nights from 6 pm to 6 am
- 4 days off shift
- PPM maintenance programs
- Commissioning new projects
- Utilising planning tools and CMMS systems to organise weekly tasks and improvement projects.
- Ensuring accurate reporting and documentation of all maintenance activities.
You'll have the opportunity to support cross‑skilling initiatives, expanding our operators' skillset, e.g., lubrication, changeovers, inspections, and minor repairs.
As our multiskilled maintenance engineer, you will play an integral role in troubleshooting equipment issues, conducting root‑cause analysis (RCA), and implementing long‑term solutions to prevent recurrence.
From managing spare parts and purchasing systems to conducting criticality and obsolescence assessments, your attention to detail will help streamline operations and support continuous improvement (CI).
To further support CI, you will use improvement tools such as 5S, TPM, Asset Management and Kaizen. We'll also rely on you to prepare weekly/monthly performance reports.

- NVQ Level 3+ in Electrical Maintenance (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition Electrical Qualification, or alternatively, completion of a multi‑discipline apprenticeship (desirable)
- Advanced PLC fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
