Job PurposeThe Patient Access Representative is responsible for the registration of hospital admissions and outpatient services, ensuring accuracy and compliance with Federal and State regulations. Duties include collection of required patient information, insurance verification, and participation in collection of deductibles and co‑pays. The role works closely with hospital, clinic and revenue cycle personnel and performs general reception duties including answer multi‑line telephone and greet and direct patients and visitors to hospital departments.
Responsibilities- Collect and verify patient information and insurance coverage.
- Process payments, deductibles and co‑pays.
- Answer multi‑line telephone and direct patients to appropriate departments.
- Maintain accurate patient registration records.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current computer experience in Microsoft products.
- Previous cash‑handling experience.
- Experience in Healthcare Registration.
- Knowledge of insurance verification & authorization processes.
- Demonstrated knowledge of general medical terminology.
Wage: $19.62 – $29.74/hour based on experience.
FTE: 1.0 (40 hours/week)
