Are you a hands‑on Product Manager (or aspiring to be a Product Manager) who thrives in variety, pace and real impact?

At A‑SAFE, our Product Managers play a pivotal role in shaping, defining and delivering innovative products across a complex, multi‑layered technology stack, from advanced polymer engineering through to IoT‑enabled safety systems. This is a broad, hands‑on role where you’ll influence everything from early‑stage market discovery to post‑launch product performance across a truly global portfolio.

This isn’t a narrow, single‑layer PM role. You’ll operate across all layers, partnering with Engineering, Operations, Commercial and Marketing to turn market problems into launched products that perform in the real world.

How You Will Make An Impact
  • Frame market opportunities through research, customer insight and competitor analysis, feeding data‑driven recommendations into the roadmap.
  • Define products end‑to‑end with clear briefs, performance specs, certification strategies and business cases that align feasibility, cost and customer value.
  • Drive governance across multiple programmes, managing risk, dependencies and decision forums as products move through gated NPI and Go‑To‑Market.
  • Commercialise with purpose, collaborate on value propositions, pricing, positioning and launch plans with Sales Enablement and Marketing.
  • Own post‑launch performance, monitor adoption, margins and feedback; propose cost‑down, quality and spec improvements to keep products winning in the field.
  • Work across the stack, from polymer components and mechanical assemblies to edge devices and digital infrastructure, bringing structure to a fast‑changing environment.
What We’re Looking For
  • We welcome Product Managers from a range of routes i.e. engineering (mechanical/electrical/mechatronics), technical sales/commercial roles with product exposure, or product/technical marketing with strong market insight.
    • If you bring the right aptitude, judgement and drive, we’ll back your growth.
  • Strong technical aptitude; credible with R&D, Engineering, Testing and Operations.
  • Track record operating through formal NPI / gated development and Go‑To‑Market frameworks.
  • Ability to turn market insight into structured, prioritised requirements and clear trade‑offs.
  • Commercial awareness, pricing, margin and business casing.
  • Excellent cross‑functional communication and stakeholder management across regions and disciplines.
  • Comfortable with pace, ambiguity and change, context can switch quickly and you switch with it.
You’ll Also Bring
  • Adaptability & resilience: you’re energised by changing priorities, not derailed by them.
  • Growth mindset: you seek challenge, learn fast and embrace constructive feedback.
  • Ownership: you take the brief, figure it out and deliver without hand‑holding.
  • Curiosity: you care about customers, markets and technology, not just the next ticket.
  • Judgement & structure: you simplify complexity, set a plan and move the room with clear rationale.
  • High collaboration: sleeves up, team first.
Why You’ll Love It Here

From day one you’ll work with and learn from a Head of Product with extensive & deep product and organisational knowledge, strong mentoring and context. You’ll have real autonomy and freedom to test ideas, try new approaches and learn from outcomes, in a team that backs constructive experimentation.

You’ll have impact you can point to, working on small through to multiple multimillion‑pound programmes, with blue‑chip customers and a global footprint, your work has impact and is used in the real world. And no cold starts as frameworks, governance and tools are in place so you can contribute immediately.

Benefits
  • A subsidised on‑site gym, available for all colleagues.
  • Flexible start and finish times to fit around you and your lifestyle.
  • Enhanced Maternity, Paternity and NICU pay.
  • 25 Days holiday plus bank holidays with the option to buy more.
  • Cycle to work scheme, Specsavers vouchers, long service rewards, EAP.
