Are you currently working within accounts? Perhaps you are looking for the next step in your career and AAT study support or maybe you’ve got lots of accounts experience and perhaps looking for a less stressful job?

Either way, my client is looking for a Finance Administrator to join their team. Working as part of a team of 5 in accounts you’ll be responsible for providing day to day support for the company and supporting your colleagues. Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 month accounts based experience to build on.

A varied job which will involve;

Taking the lead on the purchase ledger

Reconciling invoices and seeking approval for payment

Processing of the weekly payment run to contractors

Generating and sending remittances

Providing assistance in the day to day book-keeping including updating transactions on SAGE and updating scheme spreadsheets

Providing invoices and requesting payments from customers

Responsible for credit control and handling debt recovery

Generating and sending monthly CIS statements to all contractors

Supporting subcontractors regarding CIS, payments & DRC

Bank, nominal and account reconciliations, monthly

Processing month end Bacs and staff expenses

Reconciling petty cash

Providing support to the accounts and contracts team with reporting and invoice queries

Liaising with councils to answer queries on invoices and credit control

Answering the finance phone line to both internal and external queries

Assist in general office duties including updating holiday records, sickness records and general filing

Working Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm 30 mins lunch, parking on site, 23 days holiday, excellent opportunity for progression and development

AAT study support if required

Just based out of Elland, car owner is preferable

Skills we’ll be looking for;

Accuracy and attention to detail

Experience using Excel

Numeracy

Good communication and teamwork skills

Proven work experience as a Finance administrator, Finance assistant or similar role

Ability to adapt and prioritise workloads
