Licensed Professional Counselor LPC
Senior Care Therapy is seeking full-time or part-time Licensed Professional Counselors to join our mission of providing in-person psychotherapy services to the geriatric population. We currently serve over 300 Skilled Nursing Facilities including sub-acute, long-term care, and assisted living facilities throughout NJ, NY, PA, and MD.
As a clinician-owned and operated company, SCT provides supportive counseling through patient-centered psychology services that improve residents' mood, functioning, and overall quality of life. By working collaboratively with facility staff, SCT aims to improve outcomes for both residents and the care teams that support them. We handle all administrative responsibilities — including billing, insurance, credentialing, and pre-certifications — so you can focus on clinical care.

- Conduct individual and group psychotherapy sessions for patients in subacute or skilled nursing facilities.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat a wide range of emotional and behavioral health conditions, including depression, anxiety, adjustment disorders, and cognitive decline.
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Collaborate with facility staff, interdisciplinary teams, and family members to support patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with regulatory standards using a clinician-designed Electronic Health/Medical Records (EHR) system.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Active and unrestricted license to practice as a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state applying for.
- Effective oral and written communication in English.
- Basic proficiency with technology, including EHR systems.
- Strong organizational and documentation skills with attention to regulatory compliance.
- Ability to provide in-person services at assigned facilities, up to 45 minutes per session.
- Ability to walk, stand, and move between patient rooms and offices within the facility.
- Full vaccination and booster status may be required in some facilities.
- Previous clinical experience in subacute, long-term care, or geriatric healthcare settings.
- History of treating anxiety, depression, and adjustment disorders. Psychiatric or addictions experience is a plus.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
