Salary Range: $50,000–$60,000 (commensurate with experience)

Tarbiyah Academy is seeking an energetic, organized, and mission-aligned Athletics & Auxiliary Programs Coordinator to lead and manage our after-school programs, weekend offerings, and summer camp. This is a 12-month position that blends program leadership (approximately 70%) with physical education instruction during the school day (approximately 30%).

This role is ideal for an educator and program leader who enjoys working with students, building systems, and creating engaging, values-aligned athletic and enrichment experiences.

Athletics & Auxiliary Program Leadership (≈70%)

Program Operations

• Oversee all after-school, weekend, and summer auxiliary programs, including athletics, enrichment, and camps
• Manage daily operations, schedules, enrollment, staffing, and logistics
• Ensure programs are safe, well-organized, and high quality
• Coordinate K–8 athletic and physical activity programs aligned with school values
• Recruit, supervise, and support coaches, instructors, and program staff
• Ensure programs are inclusive, age-appropriate, and developmentally responsive

Summer Camp Management

• Plan, manage, and execute Tarbiyah Academy’s summer camp programming
• Coordinate staffing, registration, supplies, scheduling, and daily operations
• Serve as the primary point of contact for summer camp families

Staffing & Supervision

• Hire, onboard, train, and supervise part-time instructors and coaches
• Provide clear expectations, schedules, and feedback
• Ensure compliance with school policies and child safety protocols

Family Communication & Enrollment

• Serve as the primary liaison with families regarding auxiliary programs
• Communicate program offerings, schedules, expectations, and updates clearly
• Support enrollment, attendance tracking, and customer service

Budget & Program Growth

• Support budgeting, fee structures, and financial sustainability of auxiliary programs
• Track enrollment and participation data
• Collaborate with school leadership to grow and strengthen offerings year over year

Physical Education Instruction (≈30%)

• Teach physical education classes during the school day for grades K–8
• Design and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate PE lessons
• Promote physical fitness, teamwork, sportsmanship, and student well-being
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment
• Collaborate with classroom teachers and administrators as needed

Required

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in education, athletics, youth development, or a related field
• Experience managing youth programs, athletics, camps, or after-school programs
• Experience teaching or leading physical activity programs with children
• Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to work after school hours, occasional weekends, and throughout the summer

Preferred

• Experience teaching physical education
• Experience in independent schools or faith-based educational settings
• Background in athletics, recreation, or youth development
• Experience supervising staff and managing budgets
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
• Salary range: $50,000–$60,000, dependent on experience and qualifications
