Carlin - Advanced Helper (Tech 3 or Higher) role at Nevada Gold Mines. This opportunity is posted to join our collaborative, diverse, and dynamic mining team.

Our people division is growing, and we are looking for an Advanced Helper (Tech 3 or higher) in our Carlin Surface Maintenance department. • Works as a team member.
• Actively pursues development of self and others.
• Preventative maintenance: change oil in all compartments, grease machines, install filters.
• Equipment operation: operate forklifts; operate overhead cranes; identify and understand crane control; verify capacity of equipment used to make the pick; inspect audible and visual alarms; inspect area of actual pick; obtain proper rigging for lift; select proper picking points; attach rigging properly; use a tag line if needed; use proper controls for lift; maintain proper positioning during pick; inspect, clean and return crane control to storage area.
• Computer/manuals: identify correct parts in parts book; read and understand service manuals; basic Ellipse skills; build and close work orders (W/Os).
• Works effectively with other crews and other departments.
• Demonstrates safe and environmentally sound work practices.
• Respects others  work styles and ideas.
• Hydraulic: change pumps.

• Experience as an Advanced Helper (Tech 3 or higher) or equivalent in surface maintenance or related mining operations is implied by the role title.
• Ability to read service manuals and parts books; basic computer skills; willingness to learn company processes.
