, a full‑service mixed‑animal practice located at 1052 Colt Dr, Elko, NV 89801. Full‑time and part‑time shifts are available, and we encourage new LVT graduates to apply.
- Provide nursing and clinical care to a variety of species, including large and small animals, birds, and exotics.
- Support diagnostics (cytology, radiology, ultrasound) and surgical procedures including anesthesia monitoring, intubation, and post‑operative care.
- Perform dental procedures such as scaling, polishing, extractions, and suturing.
- Maintain animal handling and restraint techniques for a range of species.
- Execute laboratory functions and assist in data interpretation.
- Assist with clinic operations and patient communication as required.
- Additional duties as allowed by law and specific to the Licensed Veterinary Technician role.
- Licensed Veterinary Technician in Nevada or able to obtain a state license within 3 months of hire.
- Minimum 2 years of veterinary clinical experience (technician or assistant).
- Degree from an AVMA‑accredited Veterinary Technology program preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of industry tools and equipment.
- Experience with IV catheter placement, urinary catheterisation, casts, bandages and splints.
- Skilled in anesthesia monitoring, surgical support, and hospital or ranch nursing care.
- Proficiency in dental procedures and laboratory techniques.
- Strong communication, organizational skills, and understanding of animal behaviour.
- Willingness to handle a variety of species and work flexible schedules, including weekend coverage and on‑call duties.
- Salary: $27.00 – $35.00 per hour, based on experience, education, certifications, licensure, and location.
- Full‑time:
Four 10‑hour shifts per week, primarily weekdays with rotating weekend support. - Part‑time:
Flexible scheduling, including weekend coverage. - On‑call:
Rotating after‑hours and on‑call scheduling. - Benefits:
