Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Combination Unit position in Elko, NV, requiring at least 1 year of experience and active NV RN and ACLS/PALS certifications.

Job Details

• Acute Care Services floor in a Joint Commission-accredited hospital setting,

• 23-bed Med/Surg Combination Unit serving pediatric, adult, and geriatric patient populations,

• Specialty areas covered include Medicine, Surgery, Telemetry, and Pediatrics,

• Common diagnoses and treatments include COPD, CHF, pre/post Cath Lab, orthopedic and general surgery, and acute respiratory failure (adult and pediatric),

• Patient ratio of 1:5,

• Equipment includes Omnicell Medication Dispensers, Baxter pumps, Masimo Monitors, and GE Telemetry Monitoring system,

• EMR: MEDHOST,

• 12-hour day shifts, 7:00 AM - 7:00 PM,

• Every other weekend required,

• Potential to float to other departments based on patient census and departmental needs,

• On-call requirements as per contract,

Job Requirements

• Active NV RN license required,

• Active BLS certification required,

• ACLS required (up to 60 days after start date to obtain),

• PALS required (up to 90 days after start date to obtain),

• RQI certifications are not accepted,

• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required,

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required,

• Med/Surg and telemetry experience preferred,

• Social Security number required for consideration,

• Date of birth required for consideration,

• COVID vaccination card required for consideration,

• Must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for the travel rate,

• Fit testing for respiratory protection is available on-site for travelers,

• No mandatory scrub color - any color scrubs are acceptable,

• Candidates must not have worked as permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months,

• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment,
