American Traveler is seeking a travel RN for a Med/Surg Combination unit in Elko, NV, requiring at least 1 year of experience and NV licensure for a 13-week night shift assignment.

• Acute Care Services unit in a Joint Commission-accredited hospital setting
• 23-bed Med/Surg Combination unit serving pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients
• Specialty areas covered include medicine, surgery, telemetry, and pediatrics
• Common diagnoses and treatments include COPD, CHF, pre/post cath lab, orthopedic and general surgery, and acute respiratory failure in adult and pediatric patients
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Equipment includes Omnicell medication dispensers, Baxter pumps, Masimo monitors, and GE Telemetry Monitoring system
• EMR: MEDHOST
• 12-hour night shifts, 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
• Every other weekend required
• Potential to float to other departments based on patient census and departmental needs
• On-call requirements as per contract

• Active NV RN license required
• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Nursing required
• Minimum 1 year of RN experience required
• ACLS required (candidates have 60 days after start date to obtain)
• PALS required (candidates have 90 days after start date to obtain)
• RQI certifications are not accepted for ACLS or PALS
• Med/Surg and telemetry experience preferred
• Social Security number required for consideration
• Date of birth required for consideration
• Active Nursys/licensure verification required at time of consideration
• COVID vaccination card required

• Candidates must reside more than 60 miles from the facility to qualify for travel rates and be eligible for this position
• Candidates who have worked permanent staff at any LifePoint facility within the last 12 months are not eligible
• Candidates cannot be employed full-time elsewhere during the assignment
• Fit testing for respiratory protection is available on-site for travelers
• No mandatory scrub color; any color scrubs are acceptable
• Elko, NV is located approximately 3 hours from Salt Lake City and offers outdoor recreation including hiking, skiing, fishing, and snowmobiling, as well as local cultural events
