Heavy Equipment Operator
Join a dedicated team as a Heavy Machinery Operator, where safety, craftsmanship, and clear communication are prioritized. In this role, you'll be responsible for safely loading, hauling, and dumping materials while optimizing cycle times. You'll be working both independently and collaboratively with diverse team members.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperate various heavy machinery to accomplish tasks involving loading, hauling, and dumping materials.
Safely construct pioneer roads in natural terrain.
Efficiently load trucks and set up dumps to ensure optimal cycle times while organizing materials for loading.
Conduct pre-trip inspections and complete daily Field Level Hazard Assessments for all activities.
Maintain equipment in top working condition and log any maintenance needs.
Communicate effectively with team members across various disciplines to ensure smooth operations.
Experience with a variety of machinery, including dozers, excavators, graders, and haul/water trucks in construction, heavy civil, or mining environments is advantageous.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Successful completion of pre-access drug and alcohol testing is required.
Valid MSHA P. 48 certification for surface, metal, and non-metal operations is preferred.
Work schedule consists of 5 days on, followed by 4 days off, with 12-hour shifts that may alternate between day and night rotations.
Overtime rates apply for hours exceeding 40 in a week, paid at time and a half.
