Job Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring telemetry skills, a WV or compact RN license, and BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.

• Hospital-based role on a Medical Surgical unit
• Responsibilities include floating to CDU and peds observation as needed
• 3x12 hour night shifts from 7:00 PM to 7:00 AM with required weekday, weekend, and holiday coverage
• Patient ratios are 1:4-5 in CDU and 1:5-6 on Med/Surg
• Tele skills are required for this role
• Orientation starts every Monday
• Floating may be required between Med/Surg and CDU or peds observation units
• Scheduled to work holidays and every other weekend as required
• Flu vaccination required, but medical exemptions may be considered with physician documentation; religious exemptions are not accepted

• Active WV or compact RN license in good standing
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
• Minimum one year of recent experience in a similar Med/Surg setting
• Documentation of relevant work experience from the prior three years
• Tele skills required for consideration
• Travel nursing experience preferred
• Must live at least 75 miles from the facility
