• Assume responsibilities of the classroom teacher or paraprofessional. Such responsibilities may include:
• Assisting in the classroom in large and small groups with varied activities.
• Carrying out instructional programs and lessons.
• Assisting students in special areas such as swimming, music and speech.
• Supervising and assisting students in the washroom.
• Supervising and assisting students on and off of the school buses.
• Serving, feeding and assisting students at the lunch table.
• Supervising outdoor recess.
