Production Floater

Job Title: Production Floater 1

Reports To: Production Supervisors

Direct Reports: N/A

Key Relationships: Vista Manufacturing Operations Team, Vista Plastics Operations Team

The Production Floater 1 provides flexible support across multiple production areas on an as‑needed basis while adhering to safety, quality, productivity, and product delivery. This role maintains production flow by covering for absent team members, assisting teams behind schedule, and building stock for pick‑and‑ship items.

• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Use quality inspection tools (e.g., calipers, gauges, tape measure)
• Able to lift 50 lbs
• Basic hand tool/press skills
• Ability to work in 60% of the production areas at home facility
• Team‑oriented
• Follow directives from team leaders and management

• Work in 60% of production areas at home facility at rate or better to avoid slowing production team
• Pull needed supplies based on job order
• Value‑Add (assemble) per job order, prints, and work instructions
• Conduct quality checks
• Read, understand, and follow job orders, BOMs, specifications and narrations as outlined on job orders
• Use equipment in the assembly process; some equipment may require basic computer skills
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area
• Follow all requirements to support Vista Quality Objectives
• If deficient in any responsibility area, appropriate training will be provided and performance evaluated. This description is not exhaustive; additional duties may be required.
