Production Floater

Key relationships: Vista Manufacturing Operations Team, Vista Plastics Operations Team

The Production Floater 1 provides flexible support across multiple production areas on an as-needed basis while adhering to safety, quality, productivity, and product delivery. This role is intended to maintain production flow by covering for absent team members, assisting teams that are behind schedule, and building stock for pick-and-ship items.

• Basic math skills
• Basic computer skills
• Use quality inspection tools (i.e., calipers, gauges, tape measure, etc.)
• Able to lift 50lbs
• Basic hand tool/press skills
• Able to work in 60% of the production areas at their home facility.
• Ability to work in a team environment
• Ability to follow directives as set forth by team leaders and/or management
• Excellent communication skills:
  Ability to communicate with peers, team leaders and management

• Able to work in 60% of the production areas at their home facility – at rate, or better, so as not to slow production team down
• Pull needed supplies based on the job order
• Value-Add (assemble) per job order, prints and work instructions
• Conduct quality checks
• Read, understand, and follow job orders, BOM’s, specifications and narrations as outlined on job orders
• Ability to use equipment in the assembly process. Some equipment may require basic computer skills
• Maintain a clean, safe and orderly work area
• Follow all requirements to support Vista Quality Objectives
