Rip Saw Operator

Overview

The Rip Saw Operator & General Production Associate is responsible for operating rip saw equipment to produce accurate, high‑quality lumber components while supporting broader production activities across the facility. This role requires attention to detail, a commitment to safety, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment.

• Operate rip saw machinery to cut lumber to specified dimensions with precision and consistency
• Set up, adjust, and maintain saw equipment to ensure optimal performance and product quality
• Inspect raw materials for defects, size, and grade before processing
• Monitor output quality and make adjustments to maintain accuracy and minimize waste
• Perform routine cleaning and maintenance on saws, conveyors, and related equipment
• Follow all safety procedures and use required PPE at all times
• Assist with general production tasks such as stacking, sorting, packaging, and material handling
• Support inventory movement by loading/unloading materials and staging work pieces for downstream operations
• Collaborate with team members to meet daily production goals and maintain workflow
• Document production data including counts, measurements, and equipment issues

• Experience operating rip saws or similar woodworking machinery preferred
• Ability to read tape measures, blueprints, and cut lists
• Strong mechanical aptitude and comfort working with industrial equipment
• Basic math skills for measurements and material calculations
• Ability to lift 50+ pounds and stand for extended periods
• Commitment to workplace safety and quality standards
• Team‑oriented mindset with good communication skills

• Fast‑paced production setting with exposure to noise, sawdust, and moving machinery
• Requires use of PPE including safety glasses, hearing protection, and gloves
• Regular physical activity including lifting, bending, and carrying materials
