2nd Shift Material Handler

Hours:
Monday - Friday 3pm-11pm

POSITION SUMMARY

• The Material Handler is responsible for safely moving raw materials and finished parts in a manufacturing facility or moving raw materials and shipments to support manufacturing and on time customer deliveries. The position requires operation of a forklift, clamp truck, and other power equipment to move, stack, stage, and count product and materials.

KEY DUTIES

• Performing work in accordance with established work instructions, while meeting required quality standards and efficiencies
• Maintaining and improving 5S activities, keeping work areas clean, orderly, safe for all team members
• Working in a safe manner
• Performing other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

• Must have experience operating a forklift
• Ability to read, write, and speak English language
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
• Ability to sit for extended periods of time
• Ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
• Ability to pull, and push up to 42 pounds
• Ability to stoop, bend, and reach frequently throughout shift

PPE/SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

• Steel/composite shoes
• Safety glasses
• Earplugs
• Continuous safety training

• Education – none specified
• Age requirement: 18+ years of age.
• Reading
• Writing
• Mathematics
