Joining us as a Multi-Unit Team Leader
, you’ll provide leadership over three HR Block tax offices and lead customer‑centric teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business. This front‑line management role focuses on leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving growth objectives for three offices. The role starts with a flexible part‑time schedule in the fall and transitions to full‑time January–April; in‑person work is required.
- Provide leadership over three HR Block tax offices and supervise customer‑centric teams to accelerate the seasonal tax business.
- Serve as the front‑line manager responsible for leadership and development of associates, delivering an outstanding client experience, and achieving all office growth objectives for three tax offices.
- Manage office staffing, operations, and logistics for multiple offices with support from Associate Team Leaders.
- Partner with the District General Manager to create and implement office‑level growth plans and client growth targets, including developing local partnerships and managing office community involvement.
- Assist the DGM in recruiting and interviewing candidates for tax office positions.
- Conduct timely performance reviews and work with the Associate Relations Center to address performance concerns.
- Lead daily team meetings and communicate essential information to tax office associates; create associate work schedules and ensure accurate timekeeping and labor management across all offices.
- Travel between offices as required.
- Prepare tax returns as needed, upon successful completion of the Income Tax Course or Tax Knowledge Assessment.
- Note:
This role is not remote; in-person work is required.
- People management experience with the ability to grow and develop associates.
- Demonstrated aptitude for executing growth plans and leading toward a growth culture.
- Strong decision‑making and judgment skills; able to operate in a fast‑paced environment with minimal supervision.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a customer‑centric mindset to understand and exceed client needs.
- Computer proficiency with MS Office.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or a high school diploma with equivalent experience.
- Successful completion of the HR Block Tax Knowledge Assessment or Income Tax Course (if you will be preparing tax returns).
