Job Description:
Maintenance Technician - 1st Shift
Location: Elkhart, IN
Pay: $30-$35/hr.+ (based on experience)
Schedule: 1st Shift | 7:00 AM - 3:00 PM | Expect 40-50 hours/week with occasional Saturday mornings
Responsibilities:
As a 1st Shift Maintenance Technician, you'll help keep operations running smoothly by handling:
- Preventive maintenance:
Regular inspections and service on equipment (mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic) - Breakdowns:
Fast, effective repair response - Troubleshooting:
Diagnose issues using schematics, multimeters, blueprints, and tools - Repairs:
Motors, conveyors, belts, pipe fitting, steam/water systems - Safety:
Follow strict protocols (LOTO), participate in audits
- Strong electrical troubleshooting skills are a must
- Proactive, organized, and safety-minded
- Strong communicator with a sense of urgency
- Comfortable in a loud, fast-paced industrial environment
- Willing to work occasional Saturday mornings for preventive maintenance or projects
