- Checking and verifying receipt of non‑stock supplies ordered for PAR areas and Omnicell Supply cabinets.
- Transporting stock to the appropriate location(s) as the net result of People Soft replenishment PAR scans and Omnicell generated re‑stock lists.
- Completing all stock requisitions.
- Pulling the required stock to fill requisitions.
- Maintaining a basic working knowledge of 2600+ supplies throughout Inventory Business Unit.
- Maintaining a basic working knowledge of instrumentation in order to replenish in a timely fashion.
- Channeling problems and/or complaints to appropriate person for resolution, once all self‑resolution options are exhausted.
- Reporting to Inventory Control Coordinator any discrepancies in on‑hand inventory counts.
- Providing input and assistance with the implementation of quality improvements.
- Maintaining and presenting a positive customer service image at all times.
- Accurately/ supplies in PAR areas to replenish needed supplies.
- Resolving problems.
- Assisting with the annual physical inventory.
- Answering and responding to telephone calls from the customer.
- Identifying unit of measure.
- Accurately shelving return stock as needed.
- Retrieving stock/supplies from overstock carts and supplies from SPD as needed.
- Rotating stock according to FIFO inventory best practices.
- Checking for outdates according to department policy and procedure (i.e. IBU; PAR areas; Crash Carts; RT totes; etc.).
- Reporting inventory discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Listing problems on inventory documents and reporting to Coordinator (incorrect shipments, special order items not‑received, etc.).
- Locating proper inventory number(s), stock bin locations, quantity of stock available and on order.
- Communicating with Inventory Control Coordinators the need to update PAR levels and generate new labels.
- Utilizing handheld apparatus for scanning and other inventory purposes.
- Completing other job‑related duties and projects as assigned (i.e. cleaning of isolation carts; exchanging Crash Carts and RT totes, daily put away of bulk inventory, etc.).
- Attends and participates in department meetings and is accountable for all information shared.
- Completes mandatory education, annual competencies and department specific education within established time frames.
- Completes annual employee health requirements within established time frames.
- Maintains license/certification, registration in good standing throughout fiscal year.
- Direct patient care providers are required to maintain current BCLS (CPR) and other certifications as required by position/department.
- Consistently utilizes appropriate universal precautions, protective equipment, and ergonomic techniques to protect patient and self.
- Adheres to regulatory agency requirements, survey process and compliance.
- Complies with established organization and department policies.
- Available to work overtime and additional shifts and schedules when required.

- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; minimum of 17 years of age.
- Minimum of six months of experience in all facets of distribution or sterile processing preferred.
- Working knowledge of inventory systems, inventory control practices and stock distribution fundamentals.
- Basic computer skills necessary to utilize the Hospital's inventory system.
- Interpersonal skills necessary to interact with families, visitors, and team members in a courteous manner and maintain positive working relationships.
- Verbal, written communication, and problem‑solving skills necessary to complete forms and take messages in a legible, accurate manner.
- Works in a distribution area with potential exposure to physical, chemical, and biohazards.
- Requires physical ability and stamina (e.g., bending, twisting, kneeling, squatting; lifting up to 40 pounds; pushing carts; remaining on feet for extended periods).
