- Healthcare Setting: Flexible Acuity Unit (Cardiac Stepdown)
- Assignment Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Start Date: February 16, 2026
- End Date: April 20, 2026
- Contract Duration: 9 weeks
- Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (19:00 - 07:30)
- Hours per Week: 36 (Guaranteed)
- Weekend Requirement: Every other weekend
- Holiday Requirement: 1 holiday per 13-week contract
- Floating: May float to Med-Surg Level or affiliate hospitals based on census
- Charting System: Cerner
- Scrub Color: Royal Blue
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license – Indiana or compact state (pending license accepted)
- Minimum 1 year of recent Cardiac Stepdown or acute care RN experience
- Certifications required: ACLS, BLS (American Heart Association)
- NIHSS certification preferred
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Must reside at least 50 miles from facility (no local candidates)
- Professional conduct, reliability, and strong clinical skills
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in a Cardiac Stepdown/telemetry setting
- Monitor and manage cardiac telemetry, dysrhythmias, and rapid response/code situations
- Administer medications, manage IVs, central lines, PICC lines, and blood products
- Provide care for patients with infectious diseases, pulmonary conditions, and acute withdrawal
- Utilize advanced respiratory equipment:
BiPAP/CPAP, high-flow nasal cannula, and negative pressure rooms - Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams including IV, respiratory, physical therapy, pharmacy, and social services
- Document patient care using Cerner electronic health record system
- Maintain strict adherence to isolation precautions and PPE protocols
- Float to other nursing units as needed and participate in holiday and weekend coverage
