Job Title: Payroll Manager
Location: Elkhart, Indiana (Fully Onsite)
Salary: $70,000 – $90,000 annually (based on experience)

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Payroll Manager to lead and oversee all payroll operations at our Elkhart, Indiana location. This fully onsite role is responsible for ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant payroll processing while driving reporting accuracy, system efficiency, and team performance.

The ideal candidate will bring strong analytical capabilities, advanced Excel expertise, deep experience with payroll systems including ADP and Microsoft Dynamics, and a proven background managing payroll teams and processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee end-to-end payroll processing for multi-department operations

  • Ensure payroll accuracy, compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, and adherence to company policies

  • Lead, mentor, and develop payroll staff to ensure operational excellence

  • Utilize ADP for payroll processing and administration

  • Partner with Finance and HR teams leveraging Microsoft Dynamics for reporting and reconciliation

  • Create, analyze, and distribute complex payroll reports

  • Pull and compile data from multiple systems to support audits, budgeting, and leadership decision-making

  • Perform payroll reconciliations, tax filings, and year-end processing (W-2s, audits, etc.)

  • Identify process improvements and implement efficiencies within payroll operations

  • Maintain confidentiality and data integrity at all times

  • Serve as a key point of contact for payroll-related inquiries and issue resolution

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of progressive payroll experience

  • 3+ years of payroll management or team leadership experience

  • Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems

  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics (Finance/ERP environment preferred)

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, formulas, reporting tools)

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Proven ability to put together, analyze, and pull detailed payroll and financial reports

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail

  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in multi-state payroll environments

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field

  • CPP (Certified Payroll Professional) certification is a plus
