Account Specialist – ACTIA Corporation
Join us at ACTIA Corporation as an Account Specialist in Elkhart, IN. ACTIA manufactures vehicle electronics and diagnostic equipment for markets such as Off‑Highway, Bus & Coach, Truck & Fleet, Marine and Specialty Vehicles. The role coordinates internal customer account activities and supports the Director of Business Development with projects and customer service.
Responsibilities Customer Account Management- Enter new orders daily and weekly
- Process order amendments
- Expedite orders
- Resolve late shipments by reviewing order backlog
- Process credit card transactions
- Confirm customer orders, pricing and delivery dates
- Advise customers on expedite fees
- Maintain and respond to all correspondence
- Investigate and resolve problem deliveries
- Enter and maintain customer and sales data
- Prepare reports as requested
- Provide instruction for account coverage in the event of absence/vacation
- Update vendor sites and websites for customers
- Issue Return Goods Authorizations and Credit Memos as needed
- Review, enter and update customer forecasts, reporting changes to Accounting Manager and Sales Manager
- Analyze forecasts to avoid duplication of material planning
- Maintain accuracy of customer forecasts, including entry and cancellation
- Review assigned forecasts weekly
- Contact customer for clarification or resolution of forecast discrepancies
- Initiate product price quotes with Sales or Director of Business Development
- Maintain part price information, including EAU/MOQ
- Review feasibility and quote on new products
- Analyze RFQs and recommend to Sales on business case
- Review and compile information on production end‑of‑life items
- Implement price changes from production to service pricing
- Collaborate with Purchasing, Sales and Engineering for blue planner item entry
- Partner with Outside Sales Representatives on account activities
- Collaborate with shipping department
- Participate in meetings with Production, Purchasing and Engineering to monitor order progress and resolve shortages/late shipments
- Ensure legal compliance with state, federal and OSHA requirements
- Ensure ISO procedures are followed
- Maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
Minimum Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office products, especially Excel
- Strong analytical skills
- Ability to apply logical reasoning
- Attention to detail
