Position SummaryService excellence is to be centered on patient care and patient relationships and is the responsibility of all employees. Partnership is the norm and all employees will be held accountable to work as effective team members with both internal and external partners. Carry out patient care tasks and medical orders as delegated by physicians, APPs or other health care personnel following the Care Model Process.
PositionResponsibilities
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Conducts pre‑visit planning, visit process, and other Care Model Process workflows.
- Performs accurate and timely charting to support patient care and service.
- Obtains health history information, accurate vital signs, recognizes and reports variances.
- Recognizes the need for and performs routine office procedures and testing in the ambulatory care setting.
- Accurately documents observations, actions and patient outcomes in EMR.
- Identifies patient education needs, provides instruction and records orders appropriately.
- Stocks and cleans examination rooms between patients and at end of session.
- Sterilizes/cleans equipment and instruments.
- Monitors and requests supplies (or communicates to appropriate staff member) to ensure proper inventory and avoid interruption in service.
- Complies with applicable legislation such as OSHA and infection control standards.
- Assists in orientation and training of new personnel as assigned to ensure established procedures are clearly understood and followed.
- Participates in quality improvement activities.
- Participates actively in self‑development and educational activities.
- Complies with Code of Conduct and all policies, procedures and standing orders.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned, holding themselves accountable.
- Greet patients with a warm welcome and completes interactions with a warm closure.
- Collaborate in patient care hand‑offs ensuring patient comfort and safety and continuity of care.

- Identifies and reports environmental, equipment or patient care risks to supervisor. Corrects and completes incident report when indicated.

Day/Evening and every 3rd weekend.
Required Qualifications Education / Experience- LPN (Current MN License), or
- CMA Current AAMA Certificate, or
- RMA Current AMT Certificate, or
- Medical Assistant Non Certified – completion of an accredited medical assistant program (Ex: CAAHEP, ABHES), or
- Graduate of an accredited EMT program and current EMT license.
- CPR Certification required and maintained.
- Organizes effectively.
- Establishes priorities.
- Understands regulations and procedures to administer patient care.
- Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments to administer patient care.
- Knowledge of common safety hazards and universal precautions to establish safe working conditions.
- Ability to maintain records, write reports and respond to correspondence.
- Skill in developing and maintaining department quality assurance.
- Maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, and the public.
- Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations.
- Ability to interpret, adapt, and apply guidelines and procedures.
- Ability to communicate clearly.
- Ability to work quickly under pressure.
- Works productively as a team player.
