Looking to grow your accounting career with competitive pay and outstanding benefits? The City of Elk River is hiring an Accountant to join our finance team. This role performs complex accounting and financial duties both independently and collaboratively, helping ensure the accuracy and integrity of the City’s financial records.
Responsibilities- Cash receipting
- Accounts receivable
- Bank reconciliations
- Journal entries
- General ledger reconciliations
- Preparing financial and budget reports
- Assisting with annual audits
- Preparing audit work papers
- Additional finance duties may be assigned by the Finance Manager
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- At least three years of accounting experience
- Government accounting experience Preferred
- Training in governmental or fund accounting is preferred
The 2026 salary range is $88,913 to $104,603.
