Position Summary:
The Senior Software Architect is the chief technical leader responsible for architecting, modernizing, and scaling CLIENT’s SaaS platform for global reach. This role will drive the transformation of legacy systems to cloud‑native architectures on Google Cloud Platform, ensuring security, privacy, and product excellence. The architect will collaborate with engineering, product, security, and business stakeholders to deliver a robust, scalable, and innovative platform that supports CLIENT’s growth and global ambitions.
A successful candidate will design and build globally distributed, scalable, secure, and robust Software‑as‑a‑Service (SaaS) applications while recommending appropriate programming tools and frameworks, and contributing to solutions that deliver best‑in‑class products.
- Define and own the end‑to‑end architecture for CLIENT’s SaaS platform, leading modernization efforts from legacy systems to cloud‑native, microservices‑based solutions on Google Cloud Platform.
- Set technical vision and standards for software development, integration, and deployment across Angular, React, Java, and Data Platforms ecosystems.
- Evaluate and select appropriate frameworks, tools, and cloud services to optimize scalability, reliability, and performance.
- Lead migration and re‑architecture of CLIENT’s core applications to Google Cloud Platform, leveraging managed services (GKE, Cloud SQL, Pub/Sub, Apigee, Data Platforms, etc.).
- Implement CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and automated deployment strategies.
- Collaborate with Info Sec and compliance teams to embed security and privacy by design, including data encryption, access controls, audit logging, and incident response planning.
- Ensure platform compliance with global privacy regulations (GDPR, LGPD, etc.) and internal standards.
- Work closely with product managers and business leaders to translate requirements into scalable, secure, and innovative technical solutions.
- Guide teams in adopting modern development practices, including Agile, Dev Ops, and test‑driven development.
- Mentor and develop engineering teams, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct code and design reviews, and provide architectural guidance for complex projects.
- Architect solutions for multi‑region deployment, high availability, disaster recovery, and global data residency.
- Prepare CLIENT’s platform for internationalization, localization, and compliance with regional requirements.
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science or equivalent experience required.
- 10+ years in software architecture, with a focus on SaaS platforms at enterprise scale.
- Proven track record of leading cloud‑native transformations, preferably on Google Cloud Platform; experience with AWS/Azure is also valued.
- Proficiency in front‑end development (Angular, React, Type Script or JavaScript, component library construction, and single‑page applications exhibiting responsive design).
- Expertise in back‑end development (e.g., Java, Python with Flask/Django, Node.js).
- Strong database design skills and experience with relational DBs (e.g., MySQL, Oracle, Postgre
SQL) and No

DB). - Deep expertise in designing and implementing microservices, APIs, and event‑driven architecture.
- Mastery of Angular, React, Java (Spring Boot), and Data Platforms on Google Cloud Platform.
- Experience with CI/CD (Git Lab, Jenkins, ArgoCD), containerization (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE), and cloud‑native data platforms (Cloud SQL, Big Query, Data Platforms, etc.) along with Infrastructure components that enable applications (e.g., Akamai, Apigee, Golden Gate).
