Schedule:
Sunday through Thursday
- Oversees the daily operations of the back of house.
- Plans or participates in planning menus and utilization of food and beverage, considering probable number of guests, marketing conditions, popularity of various dishes, and frequency of menu.
- Plan, prepare, present and deliver all meals in the community (including food items for Activities, Memory Care Programming, Sales and special events) making sure they are high quality and appetizing.
- Check food quality daily by observing food rotation, food presentation and taste.
- Must be fully knowledgeable of all standard cooking techniques.
- The ability to effectively deal with employees which will require high levels of patience, tact and diplomacy to diffuse anger, collect accurate information and resolve conflicts.
- Able to read and write reports, correspondence, memos and employee performance evaluations.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Support safety protocols, emergency plans, and elopement prevention practices.
- Foster a warm, collaborative atmosphere with residents, families, and team members.
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years or older, per Title 22 requirements
- Experience working with older adults or other vulnerable populations.
- Must be computer literate for communication, scheduling, ordering, tracking, basic graphic design, and activities and outing research.
