ResponsibilitiesUltimate Responsibility: As the Business Office Manager, your primary responsibility is ensuring accurate and timely operation of all business office functions, including accounts receivable, accounts payable and human resource compliance.
Other primary responsibilities include:
- Accurately and timely enter accounts receivable data in ALIS and manage all aspects of monthly billing and collection from residents and families
- Promptly enter accounts payable invoices in Intacct for the Administrative department, and coordinate with other department managers to ensure their accounts payable invoices are entered
- Assist with semi-monthly payroll processing, including coordination with other department managers to keep punch data current and accurate in Smartlinx
- Direct and supervise the front desk by hiring, managing, scheduling, and mentoring compassionate and competent Administrative Assistant and Receptionist team members
- Educate and train all department managers on Paylocity (HR management software application) and Intacct (accounting software application)
- Maintain regulatory compliance in hiring all new team members and managing human resource records for all team members in the community
- Track and manage all team members leaves of absence and workers compensation cases
- Electronic onboarding of all newly hired team members
- Manage supplies, uniforms, and office equipment needs
- Manage reporting and compliance within Relias
- Bachelor’s degree or higher, preferred
- 5-7 years of experience in bookkeeping or accounting
- Working knowledge of California labor laws and human resource practices
- Experience interacting with and deeply relating to seniors
- Meets all applicable licensing and background requirements
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

- Ability to work Sunday - Thursday
