Position Description
The Cosumnes Community Services District (District) is seeking a qualified candidate for the full-time position of Information Technology (IT) Enterprise Applications Analyst within the IT Division to join our team.
Salary InformationThe salary range for the IT Enterprise Applications Analyst classification is between $7,231 - $10,175 monthly. The District typically appoints new employees at Step 1 of the salary range. Consideration for an appointment higher than Step 1 will be based on experience, education, or the need for unique skills or knowledge, and shall be no more than the midpoint of the salary range.
The following duties are intended only as illustrations of the various types of work that may be performed. - Serve as the primary technical and functional analyst for the District’s ERP system; administer, configure, and support assigned ERP modules and workflows;
- Analyze business processes and requirements; recommend and implement application configuration changes to improve efficiency, controls, and data quality;
- Coordinate, test, and implement ERP and enterprise application updates, patches, and vendor releases; develop test plans, validate results, and prepare rollback procedures;
- Design, develop, and maintain standard and ad hoc reports, dashboards, and data extracts to support operational, financial, and compliance needs;
- Support and troubleshoot ERP and enterprise application issues; identify root cause, restore service, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence;
- Maintain and support integrations between ERP and other District systems (e.g., payroll, timekeeping, procurement, asset management, document management, identity platforms); monitor data flows and resolve interface failures;
- Administer user access, roles, and security controls within ERP and related systems; support segregation of duties and audit requirements; maintain and protect confidential and sensitive information;
- Coordinate vendor support and escalations; document issues, manage cases to resolution, and track vendor commitments and timelines;
- Develop, maintain, and publish user procedures, configuration documentation, and operational runbooks; provide end-user training and knowledge transfer;
- Participate in project planning and implementation for enterprise applications; assist with system upgrades, module deployments, and process improvements;
- Support scheduled after-hours and on-call coverage for critical enterprise applications as required to sustain District operations, including 24/7 public safety functions;
- Perform related duties as assigned.
- Completion of a degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, information systems, business administration, or a closely related field; and/or completion of relevant certifications or vendor training related to enterprise applications or ERP systems.
- Four (4) years of increasingly responsible experience supporting enterprise business applications or information technology systems that can be directly related to the duties and responsibilities described for the class of IT Enterprise Applications Analyst, including experience with an ERP system or comparable enterprise platform.
- Must possess a valid California Class C driver's license, with a satisfactory driving record as determined by the District, and maintain it throughout employment.
- Principles of enterprise application administration and support in on-premises and cloud/SaaS environments;
- ERP concepts and common functional areas (e.g., finance/accounting, procurement, payroll/timekeeping, HR, inventory/asset management);
- Business process analysis, workflow design, internal controls, and data governance principles;
- Application security concepts, including role-based access control, least privilege, audit logging, and segregation of duties;
- Relational database concepts and data querying; reporting and analytics practices; data validation and reconciliation methods;
- System integration concepts (APIs, middleware, file transfers, ETL) and troubleshooting of interface and data exchange failures;
- Software development lifecycle concepts for configuration changes, patches, upgrades, testing, and change management;
- Technical documentation standards including procedures, specifications, and user guides;
- Vendor support processes, contract/SLA awareness, and escalation practices;
- Principles of confidentiality and handling of sensitive and protected information.
