Accounting Specialist

Description We are looking for a detail-oriented Accounting Specialist to join our team in Elk Grove, California. This long-term contract position requires an individual with strong expertise in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing functions. You will play a vital role in maintaining accurate financial records and ensuring seamless operations across various accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

- Process weekly accounts payable batches with precision and timeliness.

- Review and post daily accounts receivable receipts to maintain accurate records.

- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, ensuring all discrepancies are promptly addressed.

- Handle account reconciliations for various departments, including golf, fire, and recreation.

- Assist in administrative accounting tasks to support overall financial operations.

- Prepare and maintain billing records, ensuring compliance with company standards.

- Collaborate with team members to streamline accounting processes and improve efficiency.

- Ensure all financial documentation aligns with established policies and procedures.

- Provide support in resolving accounting-related inquiries or discrepancies.

- Utilize New World Systems software to manage and process accounting functions effectively. Requirements - Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting or a similar role.

- Proficiency in accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.

- Strong knowledge of account reconciliation and billing procedures.

- Familiarity with New World Systems software is preferred.

- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

- Strong communication skills to liaise with team members and stakeholders.

- Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and accuracy in financial records.
