Position: Accounting Clerk I

About The Role

We are searching for an Accounting Clerk I – Accounting and Payroll Assistant to join our construction team. The ideal candidate is trustworthy, reliable, detail oriented, and proactive, with experience in construction payroll and union policies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Process and enter invoices with accuracy
  • Handle construction payroll using Quick Books Web
  • Manage communication using Outlook and Microsoft Office
  • Organize and maintain documents in the file server
  • Proactively request and collect weekly OSHA field reports and tailgate meeting notes from field service staff
  • Set up vendor accounts and assist with pre-liens and filing processes
  • Perform data entry for accounting and payroll tasks
  • Collaborate with other departments and field teams
  • Adapt to changing needs with flexibility and super rigid standards when necessary
Requirements
  • Previous experience in construction payroll and accounting
  • Proficiency in Quick Books Web, Outlook, and Microsoft Office
  • Detail oriented, reliable, trustworthy, and easy going
  • Experience or familiarity with pre-lien and filing processes
  • Able to perform data entry accurately and efficiently
  • Knowledge of union policies related to construction payroll
  • Trainable and eager to learn
