Experience in the Packaging Equipment field, hands-on experience with Electro-Mechanical systems, pneumatics, AC/DC motor control, PLCs, and VFDs.

We are looking for a Field Service Technician to join our team. The Field Service Technician will be based out of our Elk Grove, IL office and is responsible for providing on-site client installation, repairs, and maintenance of their equipment.

The ideal candidate is prompt and reliable, has superior support skills, and excellent communication. He/she will have a proven track record of client satisfaction and is motivated to provide superior service.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Provide remote and hands-on assistance with installations, training, repairs, warranty work, retrofits, safety improvements, and equipment transfers.
  • Travel to customer sites as needed domestically and internationally.
  • Support PMIKYOTO assembly, start-up, and FAT efforts at factory, gaining needed machine-specific expertise and training.
  • Provide detailed call and service reports and suggest selling PM, additional spares, or new equipment to our existing customers.
  • Grow and develop knowledge of PMIKYOTO equipment, support equipment, site safety requirements, electrical, mechanical, and programming expertise.
    • Required Skills/Abilities:
  • Knowledge of packaging/manufacturing industry.
  • Service and capital equipment experience.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage time and be well organized.
  • Team player with personal accountability.
  • Mechanical and electrical skills.
