Position: Mid. Level Inside Sales Representative -  Food Ingredient Supplier (35947)

An international food ingredient supplier near the Elk Grove Village, IL area is looking for a Mid. Level Inside Sales Representative. The ideal candidate will have an accounting or business related degree along with inside sales experience. This candidate must also be confident with Microsoft Excel.

  • Identify and contact potential accounts through outbound outreach, inbound leads, and multi-channel prospecting (phone, email, digital/social media, events).
  • Qualify leads by understanding business needs, decision-makers, timelines, and challenges in food and beverage companies.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders by clearly communicating product value and benefits.
  • Manage assigned accounts, support key contacts, and respond to customer requests (e.g., samples, technical documents).
  • Collaborate with distributor sales teams, Marketing, and Sales Enablement to align messaging and improve outreach.
  • Keep accurate records of prospects and activities in CRM systems and ensure timely follow-up.
  • Stay up to date on industry trends, regulations, and competitors to engage prospects effectively.
  • 4+ years of experience in inside sales or sales support; food ingredient industry experience preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, confident presenter with a professional presence; comfortable with frequent phone outreach.
  • Proficient in MS Office; advanced Salesforce experience preferred (certifications a plus); working knowledge of Linked In.
  • Minimal travel required; mainly local trade shows (regional IFT Supplier Events) and occasional local customer visits.
  • Able to intermittently sit, stand, walk, climb stairs, stoop, kneel, crouch & lift up to 20 pounds
