We're currently seeking a passionate and skilled Lead Metal Stamping Operator/Die Setter to join our team and contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality, engineered solutions to our customers worldwide.
Responsibilities- Setting up presses and oversee the setup of stamping presses based on work orders and ensure proper functioning
- Handle various materials, including steel, aluminum, and copper to ensure efficient material flow
- Perform quality checks during production runs to ensure compliance with specifications
- Work closely with engineers and designers to optimize the stamping process and meet production goals
- Adjusts controls to regulate speed of machine, temp and flow of metal, pressure of hydraulic ram.
- Perform blanking, piercing, forming and drawing operations on a variety of parts.
- Inspect work pieces for conformance to specifications, using micrometer or other measuring instruments to verify workmanship standard.
- Responsible for Training all Stamping Operators on all areas of metal stamping
- Able to work as back up to the supervisor
- Knowledge of all Stamping Jobs and Presses
- Perform in process inspection, following control plan and record results.
- Document all required production data and prepare product for next step
- Other duties as deemed necessary
- 5+ years of smart pack experience
- 10+ years of manufacturing experience
- 5+ years of Metal Stamping experience
- Ability to read blueprint and production procedures/instructions.
- Ability to troubleshoot if problems arise during set up or run
- Mechanical aptitude; interest in the responsible proper use of equipment in a safe manner
- Must be dependable, reliable and able to work well on a team
- Ability to work overtime as needed including some Saturdays
- Ability to stand for up to 8 hours/day
