This role is part of Vomela Commercial in Elk Grove, IL. Responsible for operation and maintenance of cutters and/or folders, packaging, labeling, and delivery of work to the delivery area. Interacts with Sales staff, CSRs, and other bindery personnel.

• Performs “Make Ready” for jobs: reads job jacket, prepares sections, checks work against proofs, fills checklists, clarifies with supervisor as needed.
• Runs job on Folder: continuously checks work for position and quality, operates job quickly while maintaining quality, packages, labels, and separates customer samples.
• Performs post‑run duties: places samples in jackets, ensures sample quality, notifies supervisors of shortages.
• Moves jobs to designated delivery areas.
• Performs machine maintenance: cleans, ensures machines are functioning, records maintenance.
• Operates cutter: programs jobs, cuts, verifies accuracy, changes knives, checks fluid levels, cleans daily, lube weekly, records maintenance.
• Checks jobs for quality: verifies stock tickets, cuts blank paper, moves paper to appropriate area.

• High school education or equivalent.
• Minimum one year of experience operating cutting/folder equipment preferred.
• General knowledge of folding machinery.
• Understanding of general mechanical principles.
• Effective oral and written communication.
• Good eyesight, natural or corrected.

Shift: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Pay Range: $22 – $30 (based on experience)
